According to Kenneth Jay Lane, “Elegance, luxury, and good taste never go out of style.” Getting his start as a shoe designer for Delman and Christian Dior, Kenneth Jay Lane started his eponymous line in 1963. Quickly, his glamorous designs were being snapped up by celebrities, first ladies and even royalty, proving that costume jewelry can be just as important as “the real thing.” Today, his iconic designs are still being sought after and collected, with some of his vintage pieces being auctioned at Christies and Sotheby’s.
