British-born designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig first met at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. By pairing Chapman’s draping and design talents with Craig’s textile and embroidery expertise, the duo established a partnership that would result in the founding of Marchesa (named for an eccentric Italian heiress) in 2004. In addition to their couture line, the pair also produces secondary eveningwear line Notte and sportswear line Voyage.
